Eidos Lite
Eidos Lite is the desktop app for working with Spaces. A Space is an ordinary folder containing
.eidos files and any other files you keep beside them. You can use local files without an
account or network connection.
Install
Section titled “Install” Install Eidos Lite Download the app, create or open a Space, and make your first Eidos File.
Try the Web Editor Open one Eidos File in a browser when you do not need a desktop Space.
Basics
Section titled “Basics” Start with an Eidos File Create a file and complete the first table-to-view workflow.
Tables and fields Choose field types and organize the structure of a table.
Records and editing Add, edit, relate, attach, copy, and remove records.
Views and querying Use views, search, filters, and sorts to focus the same data.
Import and export Bring in CSV data or export a table or view.
Advanced
Section titled “Advanced” Data, attachments, and backups Understand where data is saved and what you need to back up.
Versions and recovery Save versions, inspect changes, and recover earlier work.
Sync across devices Continue working with a Space on another personal device.
Publish files and forms Choose a file, set its web address and access, and publish it.
